Brandon Hill, a 4* linebacker out of South Carolina, verbally committed yesterday. He is from the same high school (Heathwood Hall) as one of our current offensive linemen.

No specific news, just a general comment that Duke is involved, and reportedly in good shape, with a number of 4* Offensive Linemen, including Liam Smith:

Being involved and in good shape is a step short of gaining commits but it appears 2016 could be a good OL recruiting year.

QB prospect Chazz Surratt (4* on Scout) will visit Duke this weekend. This is his last visit and he will be announcing his decision soon. He is an in state guy from East Lincoln High School. It is a nice coincidence (cough, cough) that Peyton Manning is working out at Duke this weekend.

4* cornerback Obi Eboh has interest in Duke:

http://duke.scout.com/story/1534350-duk ... l-interest
Among Eboh's almost 20 offers are Arizona State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Texas Tech, and Washington. Academically-known schools such as Duke, Rice, Vanderbilt, and Harvard have also offered Eboh, who also has interest from Stanford and California.
This is a wait see what develops situation.

Thanks, Bob. Cut seems to garner the interest of even more 4* prospects now. :D

FWIW (not too much), lots of rumblings on Scout free board indicating Duke is the leader for Surratt. We could see an announcement in the near future.

Per Twitter, highly rated 4* OT Michal Menet has cut his list to two schools: Penn State and Duke. Other offensive linemen in the mix include: Andrew Bosselli, Clark Yarbrough, Luke Wattenberg and Taleni Suhren.

OL recruiting is on a roll!

Chazz Surratt, 4* QB from Denver NC, will announce his college decision Tuesday at 2:40 pm at East Lincoln HS. I'll be shocked if it isn't Duke.

Surratt did all of it with a bad knee, as he underwent surgery to shave a torn meniscus in his left knee two days after the basketball state title game
Stay healthy!
