I've got no problems with the </snark> but I must argue that Son of BostonDevil is not most students. ;) He's been to every home football game so far, this year and last.
I am proud of Son of BostonDevil for going to the games. I hope he's won lots of the T-shirts that the student section has been winning in the Twitter contests at the games.

I keep thinking that one day, everyone in Section 27 will tweet their locations, and then WE will be the lucky section to win T-shirts at the game.

This says the Department of Defense has suspended all intercollegiate competitions at the service academies. :Pirate: :9f:
Then we can tailgate all day without worrying about an early game! B-) B-)

Downside, it makes getting 6 wins a bit tougher... :9f:

I respectfully submit that Congress, who are still being paid during this mess (I believe), give up their pay so that the student-athletes at all the service academies get to continue to play. They will be putting their lives on the line for us soon enough. They should be able to play as much as possible before that time.

Right! And take away their parking places. That would do it. Also, I'd find it easier to get behind Obamacare if Obama, his family and congress and their families had to live with it, too. There. That's as political as I trust myself to get.

I made a similar statement to Mrs. DD tonight. Great minds think alike, Bob :D . If the American voters had any f*&^ing sense, they'd get rid of all of the bastards over the next election or two.

Good. I wasn't excited about getting up at the buttcrack of dawn to go to the Duke-Navy game anyway.

Apparently the DOD approved all the service academy games this weekend. That's a good sign, I'd think so long as there's an end in sight for the stalemate.

The pressure was on regarding the Air Force at Navy... competition for the Commander-in-chief's trophy, events to honor the 1963 Navy team and Roger Staubach, a sellout for the weekend rivaling Homecoming at Annapolis. The loss of revenue with that game cancelled would have been in the neighborhood of $4M. ;;)
