From our facebook page (and a former Duke player)...
Former Duke wide receiver Conner Vernon has agreed to a contract with the Oakland Raiders, according to his agent, Brian Levy!!

Excellent! He'll be joined on the Raiders by former Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson. Wilson is a great quarterback - dude can throw the ball.

I believe Tyler Wilson targeted Conner a bunch of times at the Senior Bowl. Nice that they are back on the same team. :9f:

I am very happy Sean Renfree was drafted and equally disappointed Conner Vernon wasn't. The program needs both these guys to achieve some level of success in the NFL. For Duke to start being able to entice 4-Star talent to Durham, we have to send players to the league.

Kinda hard to believe his 40 time was 4.68 seconds. It certainly hurt him if that time is accurate. Hope he makes the roster with Oakland. Absolutely loved watching him play during his Duke career.

Apparently Tony Foster has an invite to the Chiefs rookie mini camp. I guess that is a step down from getting a free agent contract, but it gives him a chance. :9f:
