I love soups and chili so I'm looking forward to enjoying a bowl or two. The bar was set pretty high last game by the Cioppino (DukePA) and Gumbo (Cook unknown...my apologies).

Oh, my sorority sister Terri and her husband and daughter may stop by, but they're making the rounds at other tailgates, so I'm not including them in the count.

IIt is one of my favorite things to make . I've left the "heat"out this tme (but will bring some jalapenos for those who want heat). I was talking with my boys this afternoon and told them I needed a name for my chili. We decided that after Duke's win tonight we will officially name it "Victory Bell Chili".

Thanks to all for helping make yesterday one of the best tailgates ever. It would have still been great had we lost, but we don't have to ponder that! :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :duke: :duke: :9f: L-)

The congregation will stand for the reading of the gospel.

In the book of Vernon, 33rd chapter, 30th verse, it is written "And they shall forevermore call it "Victory Bell Chili" , and it shall be used henceforth to vanquish the tarheels - and Lo I say unto you, "Go to Hell Carolina, Go to Hell."

So it is written, so it shall be! :9f:

Perhaps a reprise of VBC for the Miami game? It'll probably be cold then and would be quite tasty, especially if that game is for the Coastal Division championship!

I'd be happy to make it again. I was a bit disapponted in it personally - I left out the "heat" because I wasn't sure just how hot people would like it. I though it a bit bland (even with the sliced jalapenos on the side - adding in spice after the fact has a very different tast than cooking the pepper into the chili). So on 11/3 folks need to have a cold beer reacy when they hve a bowl (I'm sure that will be no great sacrifice to most).

How about for the Miami game after Thanksgiving. 11/3 is Tilly's wedding @ 3pm, so lots of us will be leaving early to go. And then we'll come back in time for the game at 7.
