I've already included John and Patsy in my count, so that number is not going up. I'm simply sharing this information for the purpose of passing along Mom's instructions to Tim and Ozzie. One thing I know for sure: Ozzie is going to make money at this game.Tell Tim that we have two guests. I have a 50 dollar bill for him. Tell Ozzie to get several extra beers. I do not know what kind. John had a Bud Light at the banquet. I will give Ozzie a $20 and he can be in charge of the bar. I am certain they will not drink much. I will take several diet cokes. I know that Patsy likes them. She had white wine at the banquet.
Love, Mom
It's not my money! I just hold onto it when we have extra! I do have to wonder what Tim will do for $50!CathyCA wrote:Further instructions from Mom:

Do they have to drink Bud Light? How about the Yuengling that I'm planning to bring? Is that OK? I promise that it is not an overpowering brew, like some that dd likes!CathyCA wrote:Quoting myself again = PWing.Tell Tim that we have two guests. I have a 50 dollar bill for him. What I think is so funny is that my teetotaling mother wants to give Ozzie $20 for Bud Light and in the next sentence writes, "I am certain they will not drink much." My mom has absolutely no idea how much beer costs.
I don't know. I've never met these people. Mom saw John drink a Bud Light at a tennis tournament banquet in Pinehurst. That might have been all that the club was offering. For all I know, he may like--even love--these exotic beers that DD drinks. Mom met these people in India. I imagine they will try most anything. They're from Portland, OR, and they're very excited about seeing some southern culture. We are Exhibit B. Pinehurst was Exhibit A.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Do they have to drink Bud Light? They're from Portland, Oregon. If you serve Yuengling, you will be insulting them. Some Full Sail brews would be good ;) .OZZIE4DUKE wrote:They're Indian? I think the Yuengling will be fine.
Their names are John and Patsy, not Narpat and Anjali. Mom MET them in India. They're from Portland.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:They're Indian? I think the Yuengling will be fine.

Raise your hand if you have been to India [Insert smiley of me raising my hand]CathyCA wrote: Mom met these people in India.
Even more offensive than Yuengling if they're from Portland.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:CathyCA wrote:Their names are John and Patsy, not Narpat and Anjali. Mom MET them in India. They're from Portland.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:They're Indian? I think the Yuengling will be fine.
Guess I'll have to buy a sixer of Bud Light...
If that is your conversation starter, you might get one of these:Bob Green wrote:Raise your hand if you have been to India [Insert smiley of me raising my hand]CathyCA wrote: Mom met these people in India.
Raise your hand if you desire to return to India [Insert smiley of me not raising my hand]
However, it sounds like a nice conversation starter, "So, did your trip to India suck as much as mine?". On second thought, perhaps I should stifle myself.
