Ymo, kitty adoption vibes to you. I suspect that, since you're concerned about the new kitty, everything will be fine. Lots of people wouldn't be as committed to helping the kitty as you are and wouldn't be so worried about helping it adapt to its new home. It is to your credit that you're so compassionate.

You aren't the only one up. My sleeplessness is a function of thinking about the impending addition to the household. I'm very nervous, I want to do my best for her(small black kitten).

Congratulations on your pending addition. On a related topic, if you're interested in getting rid of litter box odors, or any pet odors, and possibly the cat (dog or bird) dander out of the air in general, I've got some solutions for you (and your house). One of my golf partners built a cat palace in a walk in closet, and after trying two different air purifiers from Lowe's trying to get rid of the odors in that room, finally complained while playing golf. Well, he always complains about his golf, but that's not what I'm talking about. ;) I reminded him that I was in that business, he tried one of my GT50's in the closet, and still loves it 18 months later. The GT1500 or GT3000 are for larger spaces and whole house/apartment use, and have technologies to get particulates (dust, pollen, pet dander and nano-particles) out of the air. The GT50 is just for odor (and bacteria and virus) removal.

Just got back from a rainy 4:30 drive to RDU. Whew. These old eyes have trouble on dark and very rainy nights. Glad to be home eating cinnamon toast. The OP, on the other hand, is on his way to London.

Ima, let the OP take a cab if you have trouble driving on dark, rainy nights. It's a helluva lot cheaper than car insurance deductibles and health insurance copay's!
