Yup. Really. And that's just how he pronounces his name - Weener.

Ruthie was taken to her room about 7:45 and we went with them. She is groggy from the anesthesia and pain meds but wanted to get up and go home; not gonna happen obviously. I stayed for a few minutes, had dinner with Mrs. Ozzie in the hospital cafeteria, and then drove home. She's staying up there, as are Ruthie's parents, one of which (OzzieDaughter) will sleep in her room, the other (S.I.L.), along with Mrs. Ozzie, on a couple of couches in the waiting room down the hall. I'll go back up Wednesday midday unless they tell me in the morning they're coming home in the afternoon, which they probably won't know.

Thanks to everyone for the powerful vibes and prayers. I certainly appreciate them, even if Ruthie doesn't know about them.

Continued vibes for all of you. Ruthie will figure out vibes soon enough.

John is so wonderful. Give him a huge hug from me! He helped my BFF's husband get a referral for his prostate cancer at Duke. His assistance has been life-giving to my dear friends.

From this morning's FB post

Ruth (and we) slept better last night. The doctor has given the go ahead to leave today, but I think it'll be later on because she's still not eating and drinking much. They've turned the IV down to make her more thirsty, so we'll see. She is ready to go home and not have people in scrubs come in ever hour to make her do something, swallow something, or touch something.

Quiet house syndrome should end later today!
