Given where you live, this is a good choice in terms of being devilishly clever, yet not so specific as to endanger the OP, you or the car.

That would be true if there weren't an Iron Duke sticker on the window! It's a dead give away. Even my innocuous "TREWBLEW" plate on my car incites flips of the bird!

It's such fun being the burr under their saddles over here!

And of course he'll need a GTHC oval for the window. I'm bringing a couple for Duke2narow on Thursday night. I'll stick one more in my pocket for the OP! :9f:

I don't know about you, but I'm going to the BC game on Thursday night (1/27) at 8 pm.

Excellent choice! I'm a big fan of personalized sports plates that celebrate your own team rather than hate on a rival. Touch o class by the OP!

WOO HOO

As long as the cops don't think it means that he's speeding and leaving others in his rear view mirror... :-o

I DO like the AHH CYA, but there may be two problems:
1) I don't know that anything with CYA will fly in North Carolina. CYA also stands for cover your bum. Although not as outlandish as WTF, I did hear about one state that banned someone from using WTF on a license plate. My guess is that CYA might not get past the censors.
2) If it's a Duke plate, wouldn't the AHH be preceded by a "D?" That would make it look like DAHH CYA, yes?

Just sayin'. :-B

The Duke plate only allows 4 characters after the D, so AHHH CYA won't fit on a Duke plate.

I just checked the website, and NC DMV allows CYA on a plain (not Duke) personalized plate, so it appears that the Old Prof is good to go. In fact, "AHH CYA" isn't available now, so it seems that maybe he's already processed his order. FYI, "AH CYA" is still available. Any takers?

LAVABE is also available on a personalized plate.

We wanted the AH to string out, so we added as many Hs as allowed. You're right, it's not a Duke plate. I'm afraid we old codgers weren't hip enough to know there are other meanings for "CYA". At any rate, they accepted it. So he's good to go, bless his heart.

=)) =)) =))

Actually, NC gave out "WTF" as the letter component of license plates for a while, until someone called them out on it. Now they can be replaced, I believe free of charge. Every once in a while I'll see a "WTF" plate in my travels to and from the varnish zone.

The Wisconsin Tourism Federation also had to change its name, for the same reason.
