I was surprised by this, but Wake played really well in the second half. JT Terrell was unstoppable. He might be the second=best freshman in the league. (Behind Harrison Barnes, of course.)
NOT!

FSU loses to OSU. Series is tied at 2.

3 at the half for Illinois, unc-ch down 7 at the half.
Roy must hate defense.

No defense. No rhythm on offense. Right now it looks like the same unc-ch team as last year. Ball is on the floor and there are 4 Illinois players scrambling to get it and just one unc player. Meanwhile the other 4 are standing around watching.
'Ol Roy can't teach effort but he can sit anyone who doesn't show any. But don't tell him that.

So true, JH.
Right now they look like the same NIT team as last year. I hope Ol Roy continues to think Larry Drew is his starting PG. The defense is porous, no one is hustling, there are a lot of bonehead things going on.
Here's a stat: The holes have forced 16 TO's. They have 6 (that's SIX) points on those turnovers. That's lousy.
I'm loving every second of this.

Damn, the crowd just chanted 'overrated' at Barnes

What is the historical record for the challenge? For several years, I thought we(the ACC) won this without much trouble. Need I say it? ACC sports appear to have fallen in the crapper? And I generalize ACC sports into just football and men's basketball. When has the conference had a legit contender for the mythical football national title?

You are correct. It has been quite a while. Althought we have had a few MBB champs over the last 10 years. Unfortunately, 3 of them were not Duke.

Point taken, but it very well could be 10-2 after tonight. Perhaps I'm feeling the "pressure" because I now live in Big Ten country.

BC isn't looking too bad tonight. VT playing hard, giving Purdue a game.
If State could dribble, pass and shoot, they would have a chance to score sometime against Wisconsin.
Does Bo Ryan ever not have a facial expression of disbelief?

Oh yeah...VT can't hit the damn floor! They're gettin' some really good shots. Just can't hit one.

A good thing no one is considering VT for this aircraft carrier game. I'm not sure they could hit the ocean from off the deck of a ship.

So the Big10 (+1) wins the challenge 6-5. For the second straight year. Who would have guessed that Wake Forest, BC and UVA would win their games?

Since I couldn't pull for the holes, I blame VT for losing the challenge. Dipshits.

I was rooting for the 'holes twice:
1. to lose their game
2. to lose the challenge for us
It's just so much fun piling on their miseries so far this year.

I was rootin' for the holes....to find the edge of the Earth and cascade themselves off, into the pit of Hell.
