The archive is fantastic. Any musical website in which you can literally get lost for months is well worth a visit.
What's the link for that again? I haven't been there in ages (could be dangerous...).
http://www.archive.org/details/GratefulDead

All sorts of bands are here, but the Dead are definitely the best represented.
And I take it you know about the Annotated Grateful Dead too? Also a lot of fun.

I could just bring my iPod because I've already loaded each of these albums on to it:

Earth Wind & Fire - Greatest Hits Live
Eagles - Eagles Live
James Taylor - (Live)
Barbra Streisand - The Essential Barbra Streisand
Paul McCartney - Tripping the Live Fantastic

For shame, Cathy. If you were one of my students, I'd dock you a letter grade for not following directions. :-B

I'm too old to be your student. I'm old enough to be your mother.

Greatest Hits Live is a LIVE album and included within your guidelines.

The Essential Barbra Streisand doesn't have the words "greatest hits" in the title.

I thought about listing Rumours, but decided not to do so since the Tar River is a bit too cold for plank walking tonight. :ar!

I think the Internet Archive should have a more generic name. Like... Outside Air... or Visible Matter.

Do you mean less generic, or have you been partaking of psychoactives with the band?

Excellent choices! Top 4, I might have to squabble with you on the last one! :D

Don't know if I can come up with 5 albums.

Erasure - The Innocents
Savage Garden - Savage Garden
Savage Garden - Affirmation
Madonna - Ray of Light
Fleetwood Mac - The Dance (I needed a fifth and couldn't resist!)

Elvis Costello - Imperial Bedroom
One of Patsy Cline's
Peter Tosh - Wanted Dread or Alive
Chopin Nocturnes - not sure which pianist, might go for a variety pack, if I found one with the Nocturnes and the Waltzes, I'd take that one
The Corrs - Home

I might sub out Marshall Crenshaw - Marshall Crenshaw for The Corrs if I feel like dancing when I leave for the island.
