Haha it's okay :)
She won't be coming to every game so I think I can afford a few tickets throughout the season. It's not like I'll be able to get her basketball tickets haha.

But thanks Ozzie! I just didn't want to reserve a ticket if I wasn't completely sure she was coming.

Oh you'll be able to get her into bball games. Just befriend another girl at Duke who isn't going to a game and looks kinda like your girlfriend. Then borrow her DukeCard for the game. It works. They don't really look at the picture.

Your best bet is to borrow an id from someone in the band. We didn't need them at games so We'd always loan them out to visiting girlfriends/boyfriends.

Tell her to bring a tuba and pretend she's in the band. :tease:

Awesome :D
Problem #1: I haven't seen a single tall blonde girl at Duke yet.

Lots of people change their hair color, so as long as you don't borrow an ID with absolute black-on-black hair, you'll be fine. Do the DukeCards have descriptors on them now? I don't remember height being listed.

When I was in law school, I often borrowed a classmate's ID to get my boyfriend into football games. The guys looked marginally alike: both Caucasian, both wore glasses, but my classmate was in a wheel chair and my boyfriend was not. Nobody paid a bit of attention.

Don't let your girlfriend see you...you won't have to worry about getting her any more tickets. =))

Funny but true: back in my days at Duke, a fellow chemistry grad student (geeky looking white guy, glasses, medium height, light brown hair) once borrowed Darrell Spells' ID to get into a basketball game. Those of you who have met Darrell at brunchgate know that he doesn't exactly fit this description. It didn't work. =))

While at the Football Fan Appreciation Day today, I had the pleasure of meeting Cheermom and her husband, as well as THEIR cheer leader daughter! :happy-cheerleaderkid: :happy-cheerleadersmileygirl: :happy-cheerleadersmileyguy: Most of our discussion centered on pastrami and the Alabama game! :happy-bouncyblue:

Also while at said Football Fan Appreciation Day, I saw Cowboy Ronnie. I also spoke with Kenny Anunike, our favorite player. I told him what a favorite of ours he is, and reminded him to come by Brunchgate after games. He said he loved the cookies he got last year! :happy-bouncyblue:

Also while at said Football Fan Appreciation Day, I talked with freshman running back Josh Snead, who is from Smithfield. Invited him to come by too. Also met his parents for the second time, and they'll stop by as well. She's a pistol. You'll clearly be able to hear her screaming during games, even from the GA seats... And just wait till you see Josh break a 75 yard touchdown run on September 4th!

Also while at said Football Fan Appreciation Day, I spoke with Darrell Spells! They'll be cooking their pig off site and bring it in in the morning, like they did last year. And he wants to try Val's brisket, too! The Omega's are looking forward to the first game just as much as we are! It's going to be a blast! :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue:

Also while at said Football Fan Appreciation Day, I spoke with Coach Cut. I told him that we got our drop off passes, thanks in part to his help. He was very glad to hear this! B-) B-) B-)

Also while at said Football Fan Appreciation Day, I spoke with many of the players. They are so ready to lead Duke to the promised land! B-) And they ALL agreed with me that there will be many many many unhappy fans driving back to Alabama on Sept. 18th!
