The "hurry up and wait" aspect of these situations just suck big time. Continued , , and from Kansas.windsor wrote:Much thanks for all the prayers and vibes. You guys just freakin' rock. Right now the waiting game is beginning to wear on me!

Best wishes on this, windsor!windsor wrote:Mr Windsor went for a colonoscopy today. The news is not good. No pathology yet...but best case surgery will be required for polyps that couldn't be removed during the procedure.
I'm working from my post anesthesia husband's account...I will speak to the Dr. on Friday when the pathology is back. I did have the report read to me by the nurse...don't think that didn't take some arm twisting even after Mr. Windsor consented. In the mean time I am about to become a layperson expert on polyps and colon cancer...my stress is relieved by information (and I have the good sense to know what sites to find good information on).
It was a routine screening but not a colon screening that started it. His Dr. had suggested he have one during his regular physical - Dr also performed a routine prostate exam and sent a fecal sample (who knew??) and found some traces of blood. 'Suggested' when to 'Right Now'.Lavabe wrote:Best wishes on this, windsor!windsor wrote:Mr Windsor went for a colonoscopy today. The news is not good. Was this a routine, preventative screening?
He'll let me watch but he won't let me drive the argon plasma thingy...damn it..something about "exploding his colon". HarrumphTillyGalore wrote:Yay!!!!
Do you get to phase his ass, or is that reserved for the "experts"?

That is just perfect!mph wrote: As long as you're watching, just before the procedure begins you could shout something something along the lines of, "Mr. Chekov, the intruder's aft shields are down to 10%, shift all power to forward phaser banks and fire at will."
