That other site has gotten really insufferable over the past year or so, and I have begun reading it less and less. What i once frequented daily became a monthly occurrence, and now I find that I don't even enjoy visiting, nor do I garner anything useful from it. The latest changes to the layout are the worst; now, I can't even try to read it without getting a headache. In a thread about the latest changes, Ozzie posted a link to this site. I had no idea CTN existed; now that I do I will probably never return to DBR.

Just wanted to say hello and let all of you know that I look forward to (assuming its okay with all of you regulars) adding my $0.02 as a Duke student starting in less than a month!

I am EarlJam. I used to post "over yonder" a lot, but like you, determined that it had gotten "insufferable." I asked them to ban me for life. Prior to "EarlJam" I was known as "Bacon." Welcome here. This is a home, a haven, and you are going to LOVE it here! I like you already and can tell you are one of the Good Guys!

Just wait until basketball season when we all get on chat together during games. So much fun and we are a tight community that really cares for one another! Spread the word! Tell your friends! There's no place like home and home is CTN!

Prior to "EarlJam" I was known as "Bacon."

This is a huge major revelation for me

and explains so much -- well not actually, but I'm happy to report that my fond feelings for old Bacon's posts are now merged with my fond memories of EarlJam's posts OY

This is almost like when a brand new aunt that I had never heard of/been told about showed up at my grandfather's funeral. Almost.

Unfortunately, my most memorable game was the Women's title loss to the terps in 2006. I'll never forget the despair on there that night; although there were only a few of us that night, it was terrible. My parents had promised we could go to Duke campus if the Ladies won that night.

Lucky for me, I still got to experience what will hopefully be the first of many post-title bonfires 4 years later. I'm sure some of you were on campus that night as well

Welcome aboard!! I vaguely remember exchanging a few responses with you on Snrubchat WAY long ago (at least, it seems like it was WAY long ago). Don't forget that we have a much nicer chatroom, Section 21, that we use during various events.

Glad to see that you'll be visiting often, and congrats on becoming part of the Class of 2014.
