I couldn't stand being raised by a Temple-loving basketball fan like Bill Cosby. What college basketball teams did the other choices root for? :-\

Yes. Duke was playing Temple in the 1988 East Regional finals. http://www.dukebasketballreport.com/articles/?p=24141

Bill Cosby was in the stands at the Meadowlands, and he told the Duke fans around him (including my friend Caspar Holroyd) that he would wear a Duke shirt on his television show if Duke beat Temple. On the fall 1988 premiere of The Cosby Show, Cosby appeared onscreen wearing a Duke hat and a Duke shirt.

Of course, the best part of this story is that Duke's win over Temple gave them their second trip to the Final Four under Coach K. Duke lost in the national semifinal game to Kansas, the eventual winner of the 1988 Final Four.

When he attended a game at CIS one time, he was greeted/acknowledged with the following cadence/cheer:

Jel-lo pud-ding, clap, clap, clap/clap/clap.

One of the best cheers in CIS. Ever.

Cliff Huxtable was my choice as well. Cliff and Clair were awesome TV parents. Charles and Caroline Ingalls (Little House) were pretty swell too, for the 1800s.
