Yes. I already bought my tickets.

When you worked for Coach K did you ever make it on TV during games?

Yes. About the only one I see now is the 1984 UNC v. Duke game. I took my beloved Dad and my little brother over to Carmichael. We sat behind the Duke bench. The game frequently replays on ESPN. It turned out to be Michael Jordan's last home game at UNC.

We had a lot of face time because of where we were sitting.

When I was a student at Duke, I didn't like sitting behind the bench (didn't like hearing all of the coach talk during the game). But the camera frequently caught me sitting in the crowd. My folks would call me and tell me that they'd seen me on TV. It helps to flirt with the camera man, especially when he wants to borrow a swivel seat chair to use during the game. :D

It was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The man I worked for in the office completely transformed by game time. The man who wrote those lovely notes to the recruits--spoke so differently to them once they were suited up in Duke uniforms.

You would not believe some of the places he accused Tommy Amaker of placing his head.
