My nephew is getting married in Saint Louis that day.... while I'm relieved he and Emily didn't pick a home game day (sounding like a "Bama fan?), it does mean I'll be out of pocket that day.
PS Though he's gone through two layoffs this year, he has a full time job now, back in sales in the steel industry. Please keep the good vibes going as these two start their life together. We're trying to teach the bride about the ways of the South and how to be a Duke fan.
Yeah for DinBD's nephew. Hope you have a great time and everything goes well.
Vibes that for your nephew and his bride as they start a new chapter in their lives.

Yup, I'm thinking we will need VDB's too.

It is writ. This would be my first chance (believe it or not) to meet EJ in person! I'm beginning to wonder if he isn't a figment of our imagination.

I'll make it late in the afternoon if it is still going on then. It is the member-member golf tournament that weekend, and we'll play in the morning until about 1 or 2 in the afternoon. After a quick shower and picking up the Mrs., we'll be on our way to Durham.

K68 and I have been talking/planning for Tillygate 2010, and realized with so much going on in the days/weeks leading up to Oct 2, we just can't pull it off. So, we're canceling Tillygate 2010.

Braves losing in the pouring rain. Now this. Bummer. Seriously. Bummer.
Oh well, totally understand. Marvin, it was great meeting you for the first time this weekend.

I'm bummed too. I know we, K68 and I, would have gotten into a major fight as I'd be stressing to get the house looking perfect and get food ready. Really, I have to have a spotless house to have company over.

You could ask every guest to bring something like a dust cloth, a mop, some Windex, Comet, a sponge, a tool box, and have them spend the first hour cleaning/scrubbing/dusting/mopping/polishing. Then have a potluck party. Before everyone leaves, have the guests take out the trash and repeat the cleaning process.

Cathy, ArkieDukie, thank you for volunteering. We're talking about getting a maid to come in a few times per month, don't know when that'll be.
ArkieDukie, as the days leading up to your visit will not be as stressful, I'll be able to get things in order for your and DinK's visit. (was that grammatically correct?)
