Wonder when Favors will announce
Well, I guess that would be today, with an agent no less

Elliot Williams is now gone. I'm assuming this is more about his mom than it is him.

Yes, but it also smacks ominously of other players with admittedly tough family situations, but skill sets insufficient for making the jump to the NBA (see Avery, William).

I agree...and there's no guarantee he'll get taken by Memphis. He left Duke to be close to his mom, and is now facing the prospect of being far away from her, for a long period of time starting this summer when the summer leagues kick into gear.

Precisely. The NBA draft process is so broken it's not even funny.

And if he doesn't make it, he'll end up playing in Europe. That'll be a SERIOUS trek from his mom.

But if he does go in the first round he'll have the cash to take her with him where ever he ends up. And I'd be willing to bet there are a number of cities with NBA teams that have hospitals with outstanding Oncology departments. He's one player where I'd say if you are guaranteed to go in the first round, whether it be first or thirtieth, then he needs to go.

Plus with the incoming class at Memphis, he won't get nearly the same amount of shots or minutes.

It's stunning in it's simplicity. You are 100% correct.

Add Butler's Hayward. (The guy who missed BOTH shots :D )
(Teamates) said they supported Hayward's decision and don't believe he will be back with the Bulldogs next season.

Funny thing is... he keeps missing them... EVERY time. Surely this will bring down his FG% at SOME point! ;)

I'll believe he's gone after May 8th. And frankly, until then , unless they've already selected an agent, I think half of the 4982 players who've declared will be back in school for next year.

I don't know anything about the case, but you are assuming she wants to leave her home, and you're assuming she's in good enough shape to be moved. He would definitely have the money to fly back and forth, though.

It annoys the hell out of me that they don't have Nolan Smith in their list of "Top Underclassmen who have decided to stay". Bastards. X(

I still love seeing Kyle in the "undecided" category. I think the longer he stays there, the more chance that he'll stay, especially with the number of others declaring.
