I paid xx dollars to get High Def/BluRay. If I want to watch things with red and green pixel splotches, I'll let you know. In the meantime, assume none of us has the 3D glasses, okay?
I love 3-D movies, love them. But I'm skeptical of the format's entry into my living room.

On the other hand, would someone PLEASE explain to me Taylor Swift. I think she had a note in tune.
Oh yeah... and she teamed up with STEVIE NICKS.

See wilson yell at the television.

I dont' get her, either. Not only for the reason you cited, but her songs all sound alike imo. Just like Ace of Base.

Kudos to the following pairs of presenters:
Katy Perry with Alice Cooper
Norah Jones with Ringo Starr

And the award for the worst alleged performance of the night:
Jamie Foxx (w/Slash)
Close 2nd: Black-Eyed Peas

Why are you still watching the Grammies when you could be watching PRO BOWL ACTION? Tie game in the 4th quarter.

the 3-d thing was way weak..and I laughed outloud as Caleb put on our Avatar glasses, looked at the screen..and said "This sucks."

In a world of pop stars who serve as nothing more than delivery mechanisms for other people's music, she a) writes her own songs and b) plays an instrument.

Without even commenting on the quality of either of those things, that scores her points in my book.

edit: and while she may not have been in tune, again, she was singing. Pink, for example, wasn't singing. As any musician can attest, you can't sing like that hanging upside down and swinging. Same goes for the performers doing all sorts of dance moves--you can't run a marathon on stage and belt out a song.

Prince Jackson's voice is pitched at least two octaves below his father's.

The Pink thing (maybe we should call her "Nude" instead) was just bizarre.

Taylor Swift's album of the year win was no surprise.

I loved seeing Ringo Starr.

Finally, The Kings of Leon forgot to thank me, so they owe me shots.

We watched a bit of the show at Kelly's parents last night. I was glad to see Kings of Leon take home some awards. Weren't they also the only artists in the Best Record category that write and perform their song? The rest of what I saw depressed me.

Whoever was onstage with Jeff Beck in the tribute to Les Paul was the lone "singer," but we definitely heard several singers.

As for Taylor Swift singing on stage... I wish she would lip-synch, because her "live" performances at the Grammys and on SNL were BADLY out of tune.

Pink stated via Twitter earlier today, "I hear there's a debate over whether or not I sang live on grammies. I have never lip synched in my entire life. I'm 100% against it." If you don't want to take her word for it, the Grammys have a "no lip-syncing" policy. You can continue to doubt it if you want, but I believe she was really singing. I surely couldn't sing while doing that stuff, but I'm not in the same kind of physical condition she is; the woman doesn't have an ounce of fat on her.

Pink is one of two women in pop music nowadays who can sing and perform at the same time...the other is Lady Gaga. Pink could also kick your ass in a dark alley. I've liked Pink for a long time, but she truly won me over by singing on Spongebob. She was a perfect pirate. :Pirate:

I have loathed the Grammys ever since they 'discovered' :-\ Eric Clapton back right after his son died. What a load of assholes this academy has proven to be. :Boo:
