Re: Bargain Hunting
... that is an INCREDIBLE price!!!!! I am going to have to check around here tomorrow! What kind of crab legs were they? How much did you buy? I think I would have bought at least 30lbs or whatever they had and immediately took home to put in freezer!!!! Damn, great tip Nancy! I just went online to Harris Teeter up here, my mouth is watering... good thing you said something, now I will get weekly emails of the deals to my email! I am soo excited!Very Duke Blue wrote:I scored at Harris Teeter today. Buy 2, get 3 Palermo's Pizza. The price came to about 3.00 each. Its one of our favorite frozen pizza's. I also picked up crab legs for 2.99 a lb. and were they ever good. Oh yea, its Thursday, so I got my senior citizen discount. Not to shabby.

Re: Bargain Hunting
We don't go crazy with the bargain shopping, but we do look for deals. We shop at Potomac Mills a lot, which is an outlet mall five minutes from our house. They have GREAT deals, sometimes. You have to be willing to walk out and wait for the next time, so we go there every couple of weeks with a specific list, and usually, by the time we need an item, we find a good deal. The other week, we went in looking for some new feety pajamas for Katie. We'd gone the week before, but nothing had been on sale at Carter's, Gymboree, OshKosh, or Children's Place. This time, Children's Place had these cute, warm, fuzzy ones in 3T. Regular price, $14.99 each. We paid $1.99 each. We bought 7 pairs, one for each night of the week, for LESS than the regular price of 1 ($13.93 vs. $14.99). We also go several cute t-shirts for her for about 3 for the regular price of 1.
Last week on Craig's List, I found a guy moving to Indianapolis. He couldn't take his 36" tube TV. I needed a TV for our basement, where the kids watch movies and play video games. So, I got a 36" Sharp TV, with stand, for $50. I thought that was pretty good. TV works fine and looks great.
So, like I said, we aren't great bargain shoppers, but we do okay.

Re: Bargain Hunting
I bought this at the flea market this weekend, I think she's a groovy pig. For me it was only 4 bucks, but the sticker from the antique shop the guy got it from said $65, so I saved $61. It's an original oil. I'd be tempted to call it folk art, but the artist seems to have a bit too much knowledge to put it in that category.
