I made the same point on the local news when I was in high school. People called my parents and my threats to my personal safety.

I was interviewed by a reporter and asked if I was offended that there was an adult bookstore across the street from the high school. Apparently there had been an uproar recently and a lot of parents were complaining and trying to have the business shut down. I told the reporter that I didn't think it was a big deal because you had to be 18 to enter and that most of the parents that were causing the uproar were hypocrites because they were the same parents that bought their underage children R-rated movie tickets. I threw in something like I find it disturbing that parents would rather endorse their children's interest in violence and murder than a natural act like sex.

Took about 10 minutes before the phone started ringing off the hook.
Some people need a big ole :chillpill: , or several :chillpill: :chillpill: :chillpill: :chillpill: :chillpill: :chillpill: :chillpill: .

I can understand and accept that people wouldn't agree with you, but to threaten your safety, or take the time to look up your number and call you?!? Really now, couldn't/shouldn't that time have been better spent with their own kids?
