I have great friends. I've been having a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit since we found out that Sister Sue and family will not be coming afterall. (For a good reason - Nephew Sam can come home since home is within 250 miles of base. ) Two memorial services this week haven't helped. I've pulled out Wilson's Christmas picture, which helps. Today, a friend is letting me share Christmas cookies with her as she has been busy with the Christmas programs at church. That makes me happy.

Sorry about the change in plans and the passing of those who have gone on. The Rev. LG presided over a funeral Monday and a funeral Tuesday. Both people were elderly and in bad health, but it does suck being this close to Christmas.

Thank you, LG. Both of these were older folks that had been in bad health for a while. They fought the good fight but it was time to go. Just so hard of their loved ones left behind, especially this close to the holidays.
