The snowfall has picked up again..... BIG flakes and lots of them. Amazingly, the roads look mostly wet at this time. Temperatures have hovered a couple of degrees above freezing throughout the afternoon.... a great night to watch some basketball on TV.

Its snowing in Efland and has been for 4 or 5 hours. It is sticking on the deck. The deck was covered until Harley licked a bunch off. :D

I'd like to be able to sneak down there a bit more often.

We've got about a 1/2" of snow, and it's still coming down.

We fortunately dodged the bullet here in VA! Very lil rain, no snow, a few busted water pipes to keep traffic interesting as usual! :-BD

We had about 1/8" accumulate on lawns so they put the schools on a 2 hour delay. Sheesh.

We had mostly rain with sporadic sneet and snain. Hardly anything on the ground this morning.

Humbug.

Absolutely nothing on the ground here this morning. If not for the cold temps, it'd be a beautiful early spring day.
Temps up into the 60s by the end of this week...and there's Atlanta for ya.

Lots of snow still in the ground, but melting quickly.... about 4" fell. The driveway and sidewalk are almost clear just from melting this morning. Main roads are clear.

Schools are on a two hour delay, not because of the amount of snow, but rather because of the wet roads and their very low surface temperatures. Temperatures fell during the early morning hours this morning making black ice a possibility during the normal time span for running bus routes.

We're already at the predicted high of 39 degrees.

FYI: It is as windy as a mother "knower" in Atlanta today. Sunny, but windy as unc's resting place.

Classic southern springtime weather pattern. Active air currents and a cooler airmass trailing a band of precipitation. Starting tomorrow, it'll be just flippin' glorious for like 10 straight days.

Sometimes, like now, when I click on the "new post" button, it actually gives me the last oldest post first. So I read DITBD's post about 4" of snow on the ground and I'm thinking "huh, when did you move to Alaska?"

We had thunderstorms all night, I love thunderstorms.

There was a severe thunderstorm warning here until 8P last night and tornado watch until midnight. Lots of rain and wind came through this region which had a bad run of tornadoes about 10 days ago.

One reason I moved back here was to endure fewer severe weather experiences.... :-o
