Good morning. Headed to Galway today. Found out my grandparents most likely came from County Cork.

Good morning! Did you by chance visit the Guinness brewery in your travels over yonder?

Good morning!
Kitty vibes for Kate, please. Our way too curious cat stole hubby's blood pressure pill last night and spent the night at the emergency vet. I hope she can come home this morning because 1) it will mean she isn't having problems, 2) her sister Ziva will settle down and stop looking for her, and 3) I won't continue to pay $$$ for her emergency care... 1 is really my priority.

We didn't. We ate across the street, at FX Buckley, and drank a pint there. It was packed when we were there.YmoBeThere wrote:Good morning! Did you by chance visit the Guinness brewery in your travels over yonder?
Apparently Guinness was ahead of its time for treatment of workers and for philanthropy. Even in the late 1800's the factory workers had health care for themselves and their families, and the company gave money to family members to help them stay afloat when workers were drafted or enlisted in the military. And Mr. Guinness bankrolled rerouting a river under St. Patrick's Cathedral.

Good "TGIF" morning to all. It is going to be another rainy day in Hampton Roads. Baseball was rained out last night, but the weather report is looking okay for the weekend with temperatures rising into the 80s next week. That will make my garden happy.

Good morning!
We did get to bring Kate home yesterday morning. Poor kitty was stressed and trying to get her bearings. Her sister, Ziva, was stressed - she hissed and growled at Kate all day and evening (guess she smells different). Hubby was stressed and feeling guilty (he really only turned around for a second and the cats have never shown the least interest in pills before - it was an accident, but one that I guarantee won't be repeated!). Hoping for a quiet, boring day/evening!
