Re: LTE 2.0
This is cool...find out what the number one song was when you were born. (If you were born before '52, you're out of luck)

Mine was the Archies, Sugar Sugar
A little bit of math tells me that my biological parents were grooving to
Amen Corner - "(If Paradise Is) Half As Nice"

For me The Number 1 single was: The Beatles with Billy Preston - "Get Back" and the Number 1 album was: Bob Dylan - "Nashville Skyline".
Unfortunately I'm not a fan of either the Beatles or Dylan.
And I'd prefer not think about what my parents were grooving to.

The Beatles "Hello Goodbye" was the number 1 single the day I was born. I was born in the 60's, odds are if you were born in the 60's a song by the Beatles was number one the day you were born.CameronBornAndBred wrote:This is cool...find out what the number one song was when you were born. On a side note, the number 1 soundtrack was "Sound of Music".
My parents were apparently grooving ( ) to Englebert Humperdink's "Release Me". Or the The Monkees as they had the number 1 album.

#1 single - "Why" by Anthony Newley
#1 Album - original soundtrack to South Pacific
It doesn't go back far enough for my parent's birthdays.
I do share a birthday with Vincent Furnier and Adolph Sax, who invented the saxophone. I knew the first but not the second.

#1 song: Dexy's Midnight Runners, 'Come On, Eileen' (fucking solid)
#1 album: Kids from 'Fame', 'The Kids from Fame'

Re: LTE 2.0
Neither my wife nor I are generally fans of 70s music, so we didn't recognize the song from my birthday.
I'd be SHOCKED if everyone didn't know the one from my wife's! ;)
Mine was: The Stylistics - "Can't Give You Anything (But My Love)"
Wifey's was: Carl Douglas - "Kung Fu Fighting"
Anybody know my song?

The single was: Elvis Presley - "Wooden Heart"
The album was Elvis Presley - "G.I. Blues"
Probably the one Elvis Presley song I have never heard of.
I want a new birthday. That sucked.
