You spelled it wrong. It's Kyle "Farnsworthless."

Yeah.

This is why this race is so good. Just like married couples end up looking like family, the Braves adn Phillies are mirroring each other in play. They know they are equals. This "psychology" will have them battling it out until the end of September. The (positive) result? Competition baby! The Braves and Phillies will end up with the two best records in the National League. BOTH will make the playoffs.

I love it.

My own prediction? Phillies win the division by 3, Braves make the Wildcard. Because division rivals can't meet in the first round, both Phillies and Braves advance. Braves and Phillies in NLCS. From there, it's a coin toss!

-EarlJam, who expects total credit when this all comes to fruition!

I sure hope you don't have any money wagered on the above outcome.

I didn't know where else to post this (perhaps LTE, perhaps Bury this ESPN story thread, perhaps create a new one), but according to ESPN, former Brave MIKE HAMPTON has just signed a minor league deal with Arizona.

Bravos beat the Cubbies, 16-5.

Before the game, Piniella announced that he would retire as Cub manager after the game.

Philly won also, so no change in the standings.

In other news, the Reds maintained their 3.5 game lead on the Cards.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled TBS broadcast.

(Not sure why they gave it up, did Time Warner buying Turner change the priorities.)

I remember watching the Braves on TBS in the mid 80's and the Cubs on WGN. Cubs are still on WGN but it is a Standard Def. broadcast here. It looks awful.
