Election needle up and running.
It’s the hope that kills ‘ya.

Going to bed, figuring the Rs win both. The only thing that can happen is that I wake up happier than I expect.

Pull us through, y’all.

At least after tomorrow, there won't be anything left to stress over in politics.

Hopefully there will be a Duke game tomorrow night to be a pleasant distraction.

NY Times is very optimistic. I am watching Kornacki and I am struggling to see how we will get there, particularly Ossoff.

He's so fun. Even when he's not talking, I can't help but keep my eyes on the silent Kornacki Cam.

He was great doing the NFL playoff odds on NBC. I despise Lunardi and would love for Kornacki to replace him. There's obviously a lot less science to that than there is to elections...

Warnock is looking like a Warnock lock.

Ossoff is damn close.

You know what makes me happiest if all? Mitch McConnell is no longer the Majority Leader. :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue:

Me too. What’s even better he KNEW that DT would be a poison pill. He tried to keep his team in line but the DT poison pill killed him off.

Kamilla is going to be busy. The conspiracy theorists who said that she would end up president were right (in a way).

So happy about Georgia last night. Hopefully today will go smoothly in DC. Kudos to Stacy Abrams for getting things done in Georgia. I always complain that Dems are too busy marching and putting out clever memes but don't actually do anything, but she did something.

Couldn't resist sharing this - Ivanka posted a picture of her and Daddy Dearest and accidentally tagged Donald as MeatLoaf.

One of Meatloaf's better known songs was "I'd lie for you" which seems to fit Ivanka and Donald really well...

Now the fun blame game begins. Guess who is targeted? (You get only one guess.)
When asked why Republicans didn’t prevail on Tuesday, a senior Senate Republican aide simply said: “Donald J. Trump.”

I will put a lot more stock in this when actual elected officials start putting their names behind this. I think they are still very afraid of him because the masses are brainwashed to believe everything he says.

I dunno. As both Warnock and Loeffler learned, backing a loser isn't a path to victory. My guess is that once he is officially out (and his legal troubles begin to pile on) that his supporters in congress and higher levels of state government will begin to quickly turn away. In two years during the mid-term campaigns, we'll find out if that's true.

I think that there could likely be some distancing from him, but no one will be throwing him under the bus, at least not in the near term - I agree that that could change in two years, depending on what jail cell he is hopefully sitting in.
