Oh my GOSH ..... that looks yummy,,, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_Brown !!!!! I am sooo hungry, today.....
breakfast - nothing
lunch - nothing
dinner - pending....
After listening to my favorite person's dinner as she cooked it, I got real hungry, so I pulled out the chicken (butterflied and marinated it), heated up the grill and pulled out some corn and made some of my garlic biscuit creations.... grilled and BBQ'd that chicken and all I can say IS.....

We were introduced to Hot Browns after our interview trip to Lexington for my residency and my wife's grad school nearly three decades ago. They are good. Really good.

Hello Zocor!
That would be double Zocor for you. Or, in beer terms, Imperial Zocor. :))

Lunch: A New York Yankee (no, there were no 'roids involved and I did NOT heat up D. Jeter and stuff him between two slices of rye... ) from Jason's Deli.

Not a bad imitation of a Woody, but not NY quality, either. Lots of corned beef and pastrami on rye with a swipe of brown mustard and a couple slices of swiss.

Good points: inexpensive at about $7.50 for the sammy and a generous amount of flesh that was not very fatty and rather tender

Bad points: hey, it's NC and it ain't in-house cured corned beef or pastrami. Not melt-on-your-mouth tender like the Carnegie and not as flavorful

Don't get me wrong, I love Bert and I love Waffle House. But I'm just not feeling their ability to produce a quality Mornay sauce. And could you imagine seeing "Mornay" on the menu? Maybe they'd ghettofy it with a cheese sauce.

Has anyone noticed the "love struck" smilie, when posted, shows up as the mad one? ( :x )
:x :x :x
Strange...

I have noticed that about a couple of the smilies - I always preview before a post -

Meanwhile breakfast was a Great Grains raisin/date/pecan cereal with milk. Coffee. Lots O Coffee

That sounds YUMMY!!!!!

I need to get back to a regular schedule of breakfast, lunch and dinner at reasonable hours..... I feel like I am getting pork-OOOO with these late night meals....   and I probably need to join the CrazieWalkers and new thread to be created maybe - CrazieBicyclers! I love to bike!!!!

Reminds me of when I was in Germany, they serve like supper time meals at breakfast time, dinner meals at lunch and you should eat light/breakfast meals at dinner time then everyone walks and has great quality family time. I always admired that, but we Westerners "are/can be" soo set in our ways!!!! ;)
