Bizarre!! Dayton qualifying was going on for the Nationwide race, when 12 cars entered the backstretch, and suddenly a downpour occurred in the backstretch (and nowhere else on the track). Almost all of the cars spun and crashed.

WEIRD!!

I was at Daytona for the July race once when there was a popup storm in Turn 3 and no where else. It was odd.

1st round... top 25 advance.
2nd round... top 12 advance.
3rd round ... that's the final round.

And now for the magic roulette wheel and qualifying... and I would venture to say NO one had the starting grid. Check it out:
David Gilliland, Reed Sorenson, Landon Cassill, Bobby Labonte, and Jimmie Johnson.
:o) 8-} :ymparty: :)) =)) :o)
Get out your magic eight ball, folks!!

Note: or is it 1st round is the top 24? Nuts!
This was crazy today. Lucky that no accidents occurred.

Cloudy weather, competition caution on lap 20.
Who'd have thought that there would be summer storms in Florida?! 8-} 8-}
Oh... and some sprinkles around the track, as they take a few pace laps.
And they're racing!!

Big wreck lap 20: Here are the folks who are knocked out: JJ, Harvick, Smoke, Larson, Stenhouse, Dinger, Edwards, Bayne.
Looks like Stenhouse and Smoke were in the beginning of the wreck.

Jr also got knocked in it, but got back onto the track. Down a lap. He is the only one down a lap. Kenseth got a little knocked... definitely not racing well.

They are racing three-wide.
Landon Cassill and Reed Sorenson have been in the lead in the last few laps.
Lap 40 of 160: CAUTION: Debris
JMac in the lead
JMac, Cassill, Biff, KuBu, Hamlin, AA, KK, Gilliland, Ragan, Logano
Jr is the Lucky Dog: back on the lead lap.

Lap 56 of 160: Rain is going to appear. Having said that, the anouncers are saying that this is a mad race until Lap 80, when the race becomes official.
It may begin raining shortly after Lap 80. They're racing 2 and 3 wide.

Don't know how Danica made it into the top ten, especially after getting a little damage in the big accident.
