Yeah...you guys shared a quarterback, too.
Now this thread has really gone to the dogs... 8-|

Bravos whipped the Trolley Dodgers 13-1 today. Now it's up to the Mets-kies to pulverize those pathetic palookas from Pennsylvania.

It's looking like the rain will beat them both.

To be true to Bugs, the complete line should have been:
Now it's up to the Mets-kies to pulverize those pathetic palookas from Pennsylvania with a powerful pacydermis percussion pitch.

A Bit of a Concession Poem - To the Philles
From: EarlJam
Aug. 16, 2010

Here come the Phillies;
I cannot deny;
It would be silly;
It would be quite a lie.

To say we're the stronger;
The true team to beat;
No we would be wronger;
To claim no defeat.

For we may be weaker;
Yes, my hometown Braves;
The least and the meeker;
Of which no one raves.

Oh dang the Phillies;
Getting stronger and well;
Braves getting the willies;
Damn shit, fuck ass hell.

Umm, it's 3-2 Dodgers in the bottom of the ninth, bases loaded, one out. Bravos just got a run in on a walk. Melky up.

Oh Phillies;
Scratch my itches;
Roll your eyes;
And lick my britches!

Braves fan;
You know it's true.
Now fing my fong;
Until it's blue!

Conrad;
Yeah he's the man.
What are you;
Some kind of Hammels fan?

I hope not;
It takes no brainiac;
To worship;
Some Phuckin' Phillies Maniac.

The Braves are special;
Yes they are unique;
With Hudson and Lowe;
McCann and Domanique!

Shit! Damn baby!

Here's where the Braves and Phillies should look each other in the eye and French kiss each other.

The Braves are "pushing" the Phillies and the Phillies are "pushing" the Braves. Both teams winning at a ridiculous clip because they know it's so close.

The likely end result? One team wins the division, the other team wins the wildcard. Both teams have October baseball.

Enjoying the Braves game tonight (but not the Orioles :( )

Bruce didn't grow up playing or watching baseball, and he wanted to know if Troy Glaus was a big weenie. I haven't been following the Braves that much this year (didn't want to jinx them!) so has he done anything worthy of a tomahawk, or at least one not buried in his back?

Glaus had a horrible April, a fantastic May and June, a crappy July, and a decent but below average August. Tonight, he is 0-4 with three Ks and a grounding into a fielder's choice.

I swear, dude is slowwwwwwwwww. One day, mark my word, he is going to hit a drive off the top of the left field wall and get thrown out at first!

Still, I'm not as harsh on him as most ATL fans. He saved us in May and June.

Thanks, EJ. I will pass the word along. I've seen at least two of his at-bats tonight, the FC and at least one strikeout. I suspect you could time him running the bases with a sundial.
