Ok, so is this just more blather or are they actually going to do something?

There will never be a better time for a 3rd party.
I could mostly get behind the party they described. Most (not all) Republicans in elected office right now are so far to the right that they don’t really believe women should have equal rights, among other things. By default I vote against them. Texas Republicans, for instance, are crazy. All their political ads show a man in a field of cattle, with his family, with a gun, or at church. Often multiple scenes featuring one or more of these in the same ad. Very cookie cutter, and it works for them. Many here do the same.

Our current governor has a high school degree and has cut a ridiculous amount of money from higher education - so much, in fact, that at least one state school is having to cut an entire academic department. That is today’s ultra conservative Republicans.
I would certainly be interested in this party as well. I don't fit well with either of the parties at the moment. If someone put a gun to my head and wanted me to claim a party, I guess they'd just have to shoot.

They don't want educated people. George Carlin said it better than me years ago.

I think that a third party is an interesting concept. As a moderate Democrat, I often just want to hand off the party to the Progressives and separate out, and clearly there are many anti-Trump Republicans who feel the same way about their party. That being said, I think this effort will get tripped up on a few issues, most prominently abortion. For better or worse, this is viewed as a binary issue (even though in reality their is a lot of nuance within the "pro-choice" position). The new party would have to take a stand on this, and would lose people from one side or the other with its stand. To a lesser extent, guns would pose a similar problem, although I think there is more understanding of the nuance on this issue and the new party could hopefully find a happy medium of some moderate form of regulation.
You're absolutely right, abortion is the big issue. Because one side has nuance, the other does not. I respect their beliefs, until they want their taxes cut on schools, social programs, and medical coverage. Many (most?) care about the fetus and not the child.

On guns, even most gun-owners want common sense gun regulation according to polls. But then I don't believe in polls anymore.

Scathing article:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics ... li=BBnb7Kz
This is all the Republican Party is these days: A propaganda engine churning out fake "scandals" meant to send their voters down conspiracy theory rabbit holes or stir irrational right-wing grievances. Anything, really, but ever talk about actual policy or governance...

The article ends with:
Salon wrote:So this is what they've turned themselves into: A conspiracy theory cult that is always dashing from one mad lie to another, stirring up the base with nonsense and hoping the voters will never catch onto what a con the whole thing is.
I agree with this, but wonder how well that strategy will succeed when the Conman-in-Chief has his "bull" pulpit taken away. It's a lot harder to run a con when the main con artist has his volume turned from 11 back down to something a little less painful.

A native of Goldsboro, N.C. Michael Regan is tapped to lead the EPA. He has a bachelor’s degree in Earth and Environmental Science from N.C. State. My Duke grad daughter works for the EPA. It’s such a relief to have ‘normal’ people nominated to these important positions . My D is very happy.
Life is starting to feel good again.

Prepping to get sued.
President Donald Trump's campaign legal team sent a memo to dozens of staffers Saturday instructing them to preserve all documents related to Dominion Voting Systems and Sidney Powell in anticipation of potential litigation by the company against the pro-Trump attorney.

The memo, viewed by CNN, references a letter Dominion sent to Powell this week demanding she publicly retract her accusations and instructs campaign staff not to alter, destroy or discard records that could be relevant.

Now every time that Trump tweets his BS about having the election stolen, this will be stamped on the face of it.
The new labels say: "Election officials have certified Joe Biden as the winner of the U.S. Presidential election."

He's truly terrified of that orange jumpsuit. But it's clearly his destiny. With his blatant racism, orange is the new black is even more fitting. (I may have to watch that show, nor sure if my statement is apt.)

Should Trump file another challenge with the Supreme Court?

Sure, why not. It's fun!

I am beginning to truly question his mental capacity. I mean like seriously wonder if he isn't so ill that it is a danger to the country now. I guarantee you, IF he is ever brought under indictment, one of his legal defenses will be that he is in decline and should not have to stand trial. Mark that down.

Hopefully the Supreme Court refuses to take the case. And throws the lawyers in jail for filing a frivolous case.

He really is mentally ill. And I have seen some mental health professionals who claim otherwise. Any medical professional who is not slightly concerned by Trump's behavior should have their license to practice medicine revoked.

Chuck Berry has a message for Trump:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kU_506KSI_s

I'm gonna give you thirty days to get back home
I done called up the gypsy woman on the telephone
She gonna send out a world wide hoodoo
That'll be the very thing that'll suit you
I'm gonna see that you be back home in thirty days...

Proving that idiocy affects intelligent people.

In other news, reports are out tonight that federal investigations into Rudy are ramping up. Here's why he will be getting a pardon.

"Well Donald, if they indict me, I'm getting out of it by bringing you down. Think your buddy Cohen was a rat? I got a beer for you to hold.
Sign here."
