Good morning all! We haven't seen sun in Iowa for almost 2 weeks - anyone with extra could send it this way!

Could it stop in KS on the way? It has taken a hike from here. Even without the sun, we have had very mild temperatures - haven't needed a coat for a few days.IowaDevil wrote:Good morning all! We haven't seen sun in Iowa for almost 2 weeks - anyone with extra could send it this way!

What did you sing and/or ring today?ArkieDukie wrote:Good morning, y'all! Big morning for church music.
Did another handbell duet today - Still, Still, Still. Looking at doing What Child is This? on 1/4. Not sure if the two of us are nuts or just ambitious. It sure is fun, though.

Re: The Official "Good Morning" Thread
We sang "Sing the Songs of Bethlehem" by K. Lee Scott and rang a medley of Christmas songs. You know those times where you rehearse it perfectly the first time but the director insists on going through it a couple more times, so you mess something up in the performance? I had one of those days. Got lost toward the end. Oops. At least I rang the correct bells when I had the melody.DukieInKansas wrote:What did you sing and/or ring today?ArkieDukie wrote:Good morning, y'all! Big morning for church music.

Been there, done that. 1st service went fine. Missed two notes, in the melody, and played wrong bell wrong bell on the 2nd to last note. Fortunately, there was another ringer and the piano to help cover it. Don't think the congregation realized it.ArkieDukie wrote:We sang "Sing the Songs of Bethlehem" by K. Easy to do. As long as you don't make faces when you mess up, it's unlikely anyone will notice, or if they do notice something different, they will think it's an artistic impression.DukieInKansas wrote:Been there, done that. 1st service went fine. I never liked to practice day of the performance more than one run-through, or I would mess up, or I would get any part I had trouble with and lose concentration on something easy.
