Go B's!
To continue that vein... YAY, the Caps forced a game 7, and it's tonight. Here's hoping they pull another one out of the bag. My playoff beard is just hitting its stride. ;)

By the 1730s, Atlantic piracy had actually more or less died out...that golden age lasted from the extreme late 1600s through 1720 or so. Actually, in the early decades of English presence in South Carolina, pirates were rather important trading partners for some people. Pirates did wreak some havoc in the Carolinas---Blackbeard, for example, famously blockaded Charleston in 1718. He also kept a sizable estate in eastern NC, but he was actually quite well-liked in that area (in fact, he helped give the ECU Pirates their nickname...ask me about that some other time). :ar!
Since I live in PirateTown, I'd like to know how the ECU Pirates got their nickname. ARRR!

No sign of wilson's ancestors there. AAARRRR!! :ar! :ar!
For real? That's outstanding. Can you get me a t-shirt? Or better yet, a pint glass? I'll pay for it, plus a 25% handling fee. Seriously.

I'm probably going to be in SC for the 4th of July, near Hilton Head Island. If I am, I'm planning to sign up for the Firecracker 5000 race. It's a 5K run at The Mall at Shelter Cove early in the morning on the 4th. Anybody want to join me? There are walkers, apparently plenty of them.

We'll be at HH the week before - June 21 - 28, at The Player's Club. Maybe this year we'll go see the nightly fireworks at Shelter Cove. And it is time to see/listen go Greg Russell again at Harbortown!

Wave as you drive by Smithfield (I-95 NC exits 97 and 95). I'll be about 2 miles west.

I am VERY serious about Libertalia. I'll see if I can dig up a photo of the Pirate Ship marker from downtown Antsiranana.

Don't know what pirate t-shirts are around. Also, I don't know how everyone views pirates there these days, given the proximity to Somalia. Not sure that a pint glass will make it back intact. There are some weird restrictions as to how much I can take back.

We shall be celebrating my return to NC in the town next door to Bath. :ar! rule.
Cool! Let me know when!

If I throw a bag of Chips Ahoy at Knights68, does that mean I tossed my cookies?

And at which point in the toss do they become his cookies?

Actually, if he purchased the cookies when you were away, then technically you tossed HIS cookies! :ymsick: Try wrapping your head around THAT one! ;)
