Re: Where did Ya Go Today?
No, when they widen that 2 lane stretch of 40 to three lanes all the way to where 70 business comes in solves the too few lanes problem. Of course,by then three lanes won't be enough...captmojo wrote:The only cure will be the extension of I-540 beyond 64, down to a connection with 70.OZZIE4DUKE wrote: Have you tried the new traffic pattern on the return trip onto I-40W yet? Re: Where did Ya Go Today?
Yup. Jesse Jones Sausage Company WAS on that road. They made Slim Jims at that plant. But there was an explosion there 2 years ago when they were doing some maintenance on an ammonia line, several workers were killed and a large part of the plant was damaged, and the new large corporate owner of the plant just closed it this summer rather than rebuild it.lawgrad91 wrote:JONES SAUSAGE ROAD? We went to Old Town, San Diego this morning for Stevo's dads' memorial service. It was very nice. It was held at Cosmopolitan Hotel, built in the earlier 1800's. Awesome. The owner game me a personal tour after the service. It is now a bed and breakfast. DukePA, Stevo and I walked around Old Town for an hour or so. I could spend hours there. We then had a late lunch at Blue Water Sea Food. It was our second time there. We love that place. We are skipping dinner.

Yesterday was...

Today, & for the next week, I'll be in a condo in Myrtle Beach. Also, pretty much in an alcoholic haze.

Bicycling vs antiquing across the NC landscape? Not hard to figure out which side of these marriages is smarter. ;)shereec wrote:yesterday drove from Raleigh to Elkin to bring my husband and our friend to Elkin, NC to start their week long Cycle NC bicycle trip. Re: Where did Ya Go Today?
Stevo, DukePa, me and 7 others went out on a boat to the Pacific. We all spread some of Big Tuna Bill in the water he loved. The captain of the boat had also taken out Big Tuna's wife's ashes and one of his good friends several years back. We all threw some of Bill's ashes, followed with flowers. We had a very special day. Stevo is doing really good. So is DukePa, Trudy, Ben and Nate. Me too. I'm so happy I could be here to celebrate Big Tuna's life. I feel blessed to have had his friendship.

Yesterday, Piggly Wiggly at Market Commons in MB. A good variety of fine wines, beers and ales are there. Probably the best to be found in the area.
Dined out at Bonefish Grill last night, with the Mate's cousin and her boyfriend. The company was better than the food.
