Life is beginning to suck big time here. Fortunately, a thunderstorm passed over Indy JUST as the local news channel wanted to do a live feed from the Final Four, and they couldn't report from there.

When I was in the security line at the airport this morning, I saw a gentleman wearing a UK shirt. I came very close to telling him that his shirt was missing a D and an E, but I decided against it.
Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.

Kentucky has run out of Kleenex, and using bath tissue to dry the eyes. It really sucks when you lose in the Final 4 and don't snag the Banner. Duke knows, all to many times. Cats went on a great run this season.

Lavabe is the happiest guy in all of Kentucky today.
I recorded the 'Kentucky Team Stream' for the last few minutes of the game. Most enjoyable. To the announcers credit they were VERY unhappy that some of the Kentucky players left the court without the handshake.

Yeah, and what's this about dissing the opposing team at handshake time? What's with that you spoiled brats? The ethics and manners of a team really do mirror those of their mentor.Lavabe wrote:Stay classy, UK fans: http://www.kentucky.com/2015/04/04/3784 ... yards.html

I've read several reports that some of the UK players really did not shake hands with Wisconsin after the game.
If that's the case, stay classy, UK!

Dear Maryland,
I apologize for all the things I said about your fans being the worst. UK twittersphere and facebook shows that we should perhaps retire the term TERPING and replace it with CATTING. I have seen too many references to "being robbed" or complaining that the refs cost UK the game. As if the lack of rebounding and a 7-point loss resulted solely from the actions of a ref. And yes, ALL THE CALLS went in favor of Wisconsin. And yes, the facebook re-posting of the Wisconsin shot that was taken after the shot-clock read zero (but was it taken before the horn sounded?). Yep, UK has somehow out-TERPED the TERPS.
From now on (and especially since you are no longer in the ACC), I am no longer recognizing the term TERPING as a verb.
Have fun in the Big 16 (or whatever conference you are now in)!
Lavabe
P.S. Stay classy, UK!

Re: Living in the land of the missing "D" and "E"
I have a student who is a policeman and has been on riot duty the last few weekends as the tournament progressed. Ethics and manners matter. You are SO right, Ima! And it extends to fans as well. We ARE all a reflection of one another. It is time the president of UK actually take action now. This is a poor reflection on the university, and it's happened FAR too often.Ima Facultiwyfe wrote:Yeah, and what's this about dissing the opposing team at handshake time? I second that! "Catting" is a noun from now on.
