That recipe is pretty consistent with what I've had at Tyler's Tap Room. Some places use a real simple cornmeal breading, some use a heavier batter.

OOPS. I originally had written "we're talking" and then changed it to "we've been talking" but forgot to change the "r" to the "v."
Plus, with less than the desired amount of sleep the last 4 days, the "r" pretty much looked like a "v" to my old, sleepy eyes.

Tony Packo's from here in Toledo,Ohio. Either "raw" or deep fried. http://www.tonypackos.com/pickles.php The original are certainly my favorites. Tony's has a good beer menu. A glass of beer and their pickles make a great way to complete a meal with the best hot dogs in America and beyond.

Absolutely. The place is an old tavern. It contains hundreds of signed hot dog buns (encased in plastic) from entertainers and, presidents,etc. Mash memorabilia abounds. I have been frequenting the place since before many of you were born. "Klinger",J. Farr, attended high school not very far away from the place.

I wish I had thought of going to Tony Packo's when I was starting and ending a bicycling trip in Toledo 3 years ago. I would have loved to see the place.
