Oh yeah. Never. This is CTN.
All right. Here it comes.

There had better not be any afterbirth in this image you've been practicing for.

Catching up; here's a few more boring baby anecdotes. The first one, we got to the hospital around midnight. Mrs. Turk says, "This is starting to hurt. Can I get some drugs?" Nurse says, "Oh, no sister, too late for that. It's go time, bomb-bay doors are open, and by the way, you're not allowed to push, the doctor isn't here yet." WTF?!? Because the LAST place you'd look for a doctor is in a HOSPITAL!! So the first Turk chick is hatched 35 mins after we get there, with the car still parked in the fire lane with the flashers on and the doors open.

Second time, we knew twins were on the way, so the quacks gave us a deadline, and said if the chicks didn't hatch by then, they were going to go in after them. (It was a Friday; couldn't wreck someone's three-day weekend with this unpredictable baby arrival stuff). So they did the pitocin thing, and the epidural, and Mrs. Turk is going "Wow, this is so much easier than the first one! I can't feel a thing!" And out comes two baby Turks at 8.0 lbs and 8.1 lbs. A grizzled, battle-scarred, veteran nurse said she'd been there 20 years and couldn't remember a bigger pair of twins arriving through the regular delivery chute.

The youngest Turk came out at 10 lb 15 oz, Mrs. Turk had the flu when she went in, and they screwed up the epidural. No good stories from that, but it was all ok after a week or two.

The room had a tinge of a sulfur smell the entire period, which was no doubt a result of what they did in first period. We are studying how oxygen fluctuates in water. Apparently, my friend is extremely allergic to sulfur, so it wouldn't be a stretch to hypothesize that sitting in our class for an hour, with sulfur in the air, caused the reaction. It also makes sense for the second case as well. It seems like it would be too great of a coincidence for both girls to seize/pass out within five minutes of each other due to separate causes.
Two years ago, my daughter was one of two girls to seize/pass out within five minutes of each other during a chorus practice... before singing. Even more bizarre... both girls have the same first name.

Hard to believe... but true. And now you know the RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREST of the story!
Does your daughter have that vagal nerve condition? My oldest son does. He won't join the chorus because of it, and well, because he doesn't want to be in the chorus anyway but it's an easy excuse whenever I try to talk him into it.

For the first couple of years after I had mono, I would pass out occasionally. I did it during a dress fitting and once at work when I was a bank teller in the middle of counting a big pile of money. I think it was a gas station's deposit so there was a bit of a smell to the money, boom, over I went.

I hope she likes me! I don't think I've seen her in four or five years.

Send me some vibes, please! :D
