It was 68 on Sunday, and now in the 30s. Its plenty cold outside, but the wind chill makes it feel so much colder.

I want the 60 degrees weather back. I felt like I was in Florida! B-)

The temperature has shot up to 29 degrees with lots of hard wind gusts. May get up to freezing for the day's high. Tomorrow will be 10-15 degrees warmer, but the low will be a chilling 17 degrees.

Power went off several times earlier with tree(s) on the lines, but seems stable now.

This part of winter I don't like at all!

It is! I've been in Greensboro all day and it's cold and raw, but I don't think the predicted 1"+ of rain has fallen, not even close.

Here it is currently about 7 degrees Celsius (45 Fahrenheit) with no snow to be seen which is amazing for January 11th. Normally it would be around -15 Celsius (5 Fahrenheit) with tons of snow and the wind chill would make it feel at least 5 or 10 degrees colder. We have had one cold snap during which it was -25 Celsius (-13 Fahrenheit) for a couple of days but that has been it thus far. It is supposed to be about -5 Celsius (23 Fahrenheit) on the weekend but by Monday it will be back up to 5 Celsuis (41 Fahrenheit). No biggie though as -5 is a walk in the park!

And, according to Environment Canada, this unusually mild weather is likely to continue until at least mid-February.

Today's weather should be interesting - this morning they predicted a dusting of snow. At mid-day, the same weather man said a dusting to an inch. We are now in a winter weather advisory for this evening and NPR was saying 1 to 3 inches.

I'm predicting that we will either get nothing or a foot.

Last time I saw the weather, we were predicted to get a dusting of snow overnight tonight (less than an inch) with more scattered snow flurries tomorrow. Maybe I should check the weather to see if that has changed.

No tornados for NC. Funnel clouds were in counties outside of Charlotte, yesterday. This is crazy January weather.

When I woke up it was over 60 degrees and lightly raining. By the time I go home it will be sunny and low 40's. :ymtongue:

Snowy weather vibes for DA and my other friends in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. Your reaction to snow is much like ours here. Stay safe, and OFF THE ROADS until they are clear!

Thanks. We're all staying home today, avoiding the "people who aren't smart enough to avoid the roads, and/or who think that because they have AWD, they can drive like normal."

Out in my 'burb, we got about 3" through yesterday afternoon, had a pause, and have gotten about another 3" since early this morning. My daycare provider, only about 8 miles east (and probably 300-500ft higher) has closer to a foot total on the ground. Micro-climates abound!

Just walked the dogs. Fifty degrees and sunny here on the Dump Hump. Nice. I don't think we'll ever see snow again around here, 'sept for the snow job ol roy does on his walk-ons.

It might be hot as hell by the weekend (is carolina playing Duke in some secret game?) but yesterday was beautiful. Low 70's and sun all day.
