I think they are calling it Patriot Day but I'd prefer they come up with something else, Patriot's Day is taken.

"Patriots' Day (sometimes incorrectly punctuated Patriot's Day or Patriots Day) is a civic holiday commemorating the anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the first battles of the American Revolutionary War. It is observed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts[1] and state of Maine[2] (once part of Massachusetts), and is a public school observance day in Wisconsin[3]. Observances and re-enactments of these first battles of the American Revolution occur annually at Lexington Green in Lexington, Massachusetts, (around 6am) and The Old North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts (around 9am). In the morning, a mounted reenactor with State Police escort retraces Paul Revere's ride, calling out warnings the whole way."

Also according to that Wiki page, these are the recent and near future dates for the event:
* 2008: Monday, April 21
* 2009: Monday, April 20
* 2010: Monday, April 19
* 2011: Monday, April 18
* 2012: Monday, April 16
Patriots' Day is, has been, and forever will be April 19th. However, Patriots' Day is not always celebrated or honored on April 19th, just like Memorial Day is not always celebrated on May 30th.
You can take the word of BD and Tilly, we have or currently are living in Massachusetts.
Also, I agree with BD and K68 can attest, I don't think today should be called Patriot Day.

April 19th is my daughter's birthday.
It is also the day of Ruby Ridge and the Oklahoma City bombing...

And anything but patriotic. But the birthday bit is cool!

Wherever I put the apostrophe, it's still April 19th. Thank you Tilly. It's like Columbus Day actual and Columbus Day observed.
Patriot Day, good heavens, I'd much prefer Peace Day. Whatever our reactions and or emotions following the events of the day, there was nothing patriotic in the causes.
The time is out of joint, O cursed spite!

Colonoscopy today: No polyps, no signs of colon cancer, no signs of prostate cancer, no hemorrhoids, no parasites. I have a clean system. I'm good for 10 years. Just a little groggy now.
2014, 2011, and 2009 Lemur Loving CTN NASCAR Champ. No lasers were used to win these titles.

And the second best part ...

At least ... it should.

And I will NOT be having a Bud Light.
However, the nausea was pretty bad, so I had to pass up a stop by Lexington's attempt at the Carnegie Deli, Giacomo's.

Aside from BD's accurate comments, I had a colonoscopy today, and I got my NASCAR picks in on time.

I didn't see anything other than the word "avatar" where CellR's avatar should have been. Colchar has a blue box with a white X in it as his avatar.
Colchar's is the flag of Scotland. Glad I'm not the only one that has no picture for CellR's avatar.
Apparently, CellR's first job as moderator will be fixing his avatar. ;)
By the way, is it still broken? I can see it fine. It's not new... yet.

I don't know about my colon....but I 'passed' by stress test - why I am not shocked (pun intended) that I have been found to be electrically abnormal?
Oh and CellR - I can't see your avatar either!
