Kyrie's minutes/effectiveness are only half the equation.

The other is the opponent's prep and scouting...if you're playing us you need to prepare to two very different looks...Kyrie/Nolan.
Do you spent time on preparing to defend Kyrie and have him only in 3-4 minutes...or do you ignore him and have him get 20+ minutes and burn you? Or does Kyrie no run the point? Does that stay will Nolan...do you prep for Kyrie/Curry? It is going to be tough to scout/prep for this team. Really tough.
How much head swiveling was going on when Kyrie did nothing more than warm up a little in Greensboro? He's a strategic X-factor.

At least our guys will know what kind of minutes to expect...the other team...not so much.

I suspect that Kyrie's playing time will depend on the flow/score of the Hampton game. The larger the lead, the more he will play. It will be a very therapeutic scrimmage practice for his complete return. I do expect he will enter at point, to continue the position he was working with at the time he went out. :happy-bouncyblue:

Of course, Boozer came back only for the Final Four. The advantage we have this year is that Kyrie can play a limited role and get back in the groove the first weekend and be pretty much fully integrated by the sweet sixteen. Not to mention that K has a decade more experience, including his time getting the national team to blend quickly. I put my faith in K, baby.

Boozer came back for the Sweet 16. He played 22 minutes against UCLA, then 22 minutes again in the Elite 8 against USC.

My bad. I bow to the historian's superior knowledge of the past. Kyrie still gets an extra week with the team. :D

Anyone going toe the open practice toeday? Maybe take a few pictures, get a video or toe? :D

K said he is officially going to play, Kyrie said he is 95% healthy and ready to go with the other 5% coming back after he gets in some real game time. :9f:

Straight from the horses' mouths: Kyrie and Coach K both have confirmed that Kyrie will play tomorrow. Among Kyrie's comments: "I'm 95% healthy, and the other 5% will come when I actually play out there."

I propose that CB&B change his avatar painting to the one of Kyrie.
Just my opinion.
