Dear God,
If and when you should see fit to bless me with children someday, please make them boys.
Amen.

Look into the Shettle's method. It's a book you can probably get at your local library. After two boys and five generations of boys in my family, we got our girl using it. Works just as well for boys. It's not 100%, but it's a heck of a lot better 'n' nuffin'. ;)

Seeking clarification on Rule #2 - will the hands be removed from the daughter's body or from the boy's arms?

Wilson could whip out his cutlass and help with the latter. :(( Notice that the author offers to remove the eyes as well. :-o

Both! =)) =)) =)) =)) =)) =)) =))

I'm the one that previously posted it. My now married 27 year old daughter's suitors became very familiar with the rules. Never had to get the meat clever out, but the threat was always there...!

Speaking of my boys, I am listening to my oldest son practice the piano. Such talent. If only he cared just a little bit more about it. But even though I have to make him practice, he creates lovely, lovely sounds.

I wish I had kept playing piano now... Not that I gave up musical instruments entirely, but the piano is the best instrument to know how to play in my experience. Especially because you have to learn to read music, unlike others.

My daughter turned 7 in Jan. Most of these are from last year... I think I may have some karmic retribution coming.

It would be in your family's best interest to have colchar's visa/passport revoked so he could NEVER, EVER cross the border. :))

She is seriously pretty. Great pix.

I mentioned the arranged marriage to Tommy and he asked to see the pictures. For a dreamer, he sure has a practical side.

Actually, he did, in a 3rd grader kind of way but I told him all I had were pictures.

This post makes me happy for you, but sad for me. My eldest took piano for two years and hardly got anywhere because he didn't practice. After two years, we allowed him to quit, but he was still playing the saxophone in school band. He's quitting that now that he's moving up to high school. posting.php?mode=quote&f=3&p=8750#

My youngest has no desire to play an instrument, and we're not forcing him to. posting.php?mode=quote&f=3&p=8750#

My mother used to tell me how much she enjoyed hearing me practice, and I still love to play, though I don't play as often as I should to keep up my chops.

Ah, well, I've been really having some good times with my guys lately in other areas, so I'll count my blessings and be happy for your appreciation of your kid's gift.

The upstairs neighbor's eldest daughter(junior in college) had a bunch of sorority sisters over. They were all dressed up to go to some function.

I don't think I ogled.
