Pens / Red Wings- Game 7

Post by Sue71 » June 12th, 2009, 10:21 pm

Is anyone watching this? It's a really good game... I wonder if Crosby is really hurt.

I am - I <3 all Game 7's.

Good to see the Red Wings get one back and make a game of it.

Yanno, as a Devils fan, ehhhh. Would've liked to see the Pens get the shutout. :D

3 min left... can they hang on for the Cup?

I don't really care who wins. I'd rather the Red Wings get another goal to send it into OT - there's NOTHING BETTER IN THE SPORTING WORLD* than a game-7-winning OT hockey goal.

* Duke Championships not included - they are in a class to themselves.

Well, I suppose World Series-winning walk-off homeruns are pretty darned cool too, but hockey's just so much more frenzied.

77 seconds to go... in regulation. ;)

Ok back to this. The worst thing ever (I've lived through them as both a fan and -ugh- working the game) is a triple OT game in playoff hockey. 1:30am... no shootouts... somebody, anybody, put the puck in the net.

The Detroit fans are showing their lack of class, tho, with the booing.

Stay classy, Detroit. Fans booing during the Conn Smythe (sp?) and Cup ceremonies.

And Crosby's apparently not that hurt... carrying the Cup around.

The Stanley Cup - best championship trophy?

The Claret Jug of the British Open isn't bad, but it's tiny in comparison.
