Football Painting #5--Individual Series

Post by CameronBornAndBred » June 6th, 2009, 3:56 pm

This one was a real pain in the ass, but fun. It's Sean Renfree. In the photo I took he was surrounded by the offensive line, wearing a green shirt, no stripes and no numbers on the sleeve, so I had to take lots of artistic liberties. It ain't fun if it ain't challenging.

It's interesting that this one, an individual, was more difficult. Wonder why?

It looks great!

As usual... :D ;)

Because I had to remove the individual from the whole group. Part of him was covered, pretty much the whole of everything in the background was covered, and of course he is not wearing what he was really wearing. While I got to make a lot of stuff up, it was difficult because I really wanted to it fit in with the rest of the series for continuity.
Thanks for the complements, 2 left in the series, and then I'm moving on.

WOW

I am in awe of your talent!

How do you make your watercolors appear so vibrant? So many watercolor artists' works look so, uh, watered down. Your colors appear to pop off the paper. I love the way you create the shadows in your work.

Great job, bud. Looks awesome. You really DO need to show these to the athletic department. They could hang some in the football facility. ;)
