Nothing yet in Durham. Heck, I can see blue sky interspersed among the clouds.

I am going to be so disappointed if it doesn't snow here. 60% chance, and it's looking like snow soon - schools are on 2 hour early release.

Schools in Raleigh are getting out 2 1/2 hours early. Schools here in Johnston County are getting out at 10 a.m. WTF? Why bother going at all. Snow isn't supposed to start until noon.

Not a bad idea. Getting the kids home before the snow starts and still getting to count today as an attended school day so it doesn't have to be made up.

No snow in Efland. The sun is shinning a little. Later perhaps..

Fine, peppery flakes began to fall on the western side of WS about 10:15A or so. I'm preparing to go outside to spread the ice melt now. Once that task is accomplished, I can head back inside and continue to treat the upper respiratory bug that took hold late yesterday. I think this is a sign that I'm allergic to winter storms!

Nothing going on in the varnish zone, although they closed schools at 11:45.

Went to Graham, nada there all afternoon. Back in Smithfield now, there is some stuff falling, a mixture of stuff, some flurries, some sleet.

I used the "I'm a poor woman having to drive myself home" excuse and left the office at 2:45. No snow until I hit the NC line. We have a dusting here, but nothing going on at the moment. No word from the varnish zone as to what the weather is like there.

Here at the rock...
So far it's only a dusting but coming down pretty steady. I imagine it's gonna last all night. X(
Big Ugly Transport Truck is parked out in the middle of it. These these are a lot of fun to crawl around on when covered in ice and snow. 8-| Last week we had a guy lose his balance while loading. He fell off from the top ramp, about 10 feet off the ground, to his landing on a concrete pad. He broke his collarbone. He was very lucky. One of our drivers fell off the same spot of the truck while loading in Lawrenceville GA, landing on his head and ending his life.

Just one or two of the many reasons why I hate snow.

It started snowing in St. Louis City about 30 min ago as best I can tell. The ground is starting to be covered. We're supposed to have 3-6 inches when all is said and done.
