Ol' Roy "sleep recruiting"
Has anybody been OY to check out the vid of Ol' Roy and Coach K in the same gym at the same time scouting a player? It's a hoot!
K and Collins are sitting on the bleachers paying close attention and commenting back and forth with hands covering their mouths .... clearly at work together.
At the other end of the gym is Roy, leaning on a wall, yawning and actually falling asleep and mouth breathing , bless his heart. Next to him stands I guy I know. He's a neighbor, Roy's golfing buddy and our insurance agent. Nationwide is not only on Roy's side, he's actually holding it UP!
Love, Ima

I saw this. I think it supports Ozzie's theory OY that Ol' Roy is suffering from burnout.
Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.

Prolly true. I think he'd much rather be on the golf course, bless his heart. When he takes golfing buds in place of assistants to do recruiting, that speaks volumes.

I'd love to see this used to our advantage. Rewind to several years ago when certain coaches "supposedly" used K's "absence" against him when he was coaching the Olympic team and not contacting/watching our recruits during official contact periods. Now ol' roy is yawning and dozing off while evaluating players he is recruiting. Seems fair to me!

Think the Crazies will remind him of this episode the next time he visits CIS?

Re: Ol' Roy "sleep recruiting"
I hope they sing him lullabies.
Lullaby, and good night,
And your team really sucks!
The recruiting trail's a fright,
Ask Butch Davis for some bucks!
When you pay your recruits, you can sleep like a child,
So sleep, Ol' Roy, while the Devils run wild.
