Took Mom to the Walkertown Seafood Shack. Scallops and popcorn shrimp, half of a baked potato, hushpuppies, and slaw. Mom and I split a potato and brought enough home for another meal (each).

Yep, and since we didn't gorge ourselves, perhaps we can stave off a visit to DD until closer to the weddings, when he'll need more $$$$.

Lasagna Bolognese last night. This morning, Eggs à la Jerome and then I have sworn off preparing new dishes for the weekend; now moving into leftover consumption and relaxation mode!

Fresh Alaskan halibut, blackened, plus rice pilaf & asparagus. Why go out for that dinner, when you can cook it at home for 1/3rd the price? :happy-bouncyblue:

Chocolate chip cookies and eggnog for dessert.

Last night, I was at the Washington Duke, for the live radio show with Coach Wojo. I ordered the bleu cheese burger with home made chips with blue cheese dressing!

Half for last night, and half for today, for brunch.

Might this be the elusive 'ram chops'?
Anything on the grill tonight, 'round these parts, would get wet either going on or coming off. B-)

A can of Campbell's Cream of Potato soup, five onion rings left over from last night, and three pieces of beef jerky.

With water.

Nobody home but me tonight. I'll scrounge up somethin' (prolly tuna salad)and head back up to the workroom. But, first a glass of wine and a half hour with the Duke BBall yearbook that came today. :duke: :ymapplause:

I went to Kroger tonight and bought one of those rotisserie chickens and a bag of salad. Our Kroger is closing, so I remarked to the check-out guy that it was rather futile for me to hand him my Kroger card. He asked me if I wanted to redeem my Kroger points on this purchase. "Kroger points? What are they?" I wondered. "Sure, why not?"

My original bill was $7.61 for the chicken and the salad. When he redeemed my Kroger points, my purchase totaled $.63.

Not bad. Christian and I splurged when I got home and we sprinkled cheddar cheese and ranch dressing on our chicken and salad.

YUM!
