You double-listed Fulton County...did you mean to list Turner Field? If you haven't been, then I think a road trip is in order. It's really a beautiful stadium, and people who have been to lots of stadiums and are big baseball fans are always telling me how much they like it. Obviously I'm biased, but it's a good spot. Plus, I think you mentioned that you haven't met any of us in person yet. Kill two birds and all.
If you take wilson up on his offer, I'd suggest you bring your own security guard as I suspect other members of the Atlanta Mafia might join him/you for the game and whatever.

Tickets cost $3.50 each the first few years, then went up to $4.00. Sheesh. My "best friend growing up" bought tickets in the same box when I visited him in 1994. He called it my 40th birthday present, and the tickets cost about $60 each.

Yankee Stadium (post 1974 renovation design). The game mentioned above, plus game 4 of the 1976 World Series. The Yanks lost to the Reds in 4 that year. I think I paid a scalper about $20 for the ticket.

Fenway Park, July 20, 1969. The Eagle landed mid game, and the Sox beat the O's, I think. Look up the date if you don't know what I mean by the Eagle landed.

Shea Stadium, for a couple of Mets games. Also saw several NY Jets football games there.

Atlanta Fulton County Stadium. Went there on business for a game sometime back in the late 80's.

Phillies - Citizens Bank Park. Went there last year for a game when I was in Philly. Wonderful stadium!

I'm almost embarrassed that the list is so small.
One small step for man...

Damn, Oz, I thought your list would be the leader.

You can start the list of: how many different arenas/stadiums/etc you have visited for Duke BB games.

Every summer when I was growing up (for 8 years or so, at least), my parents would take us on a family vacation to a different city. We'd see the sights and generally enjoy the city. This typically included local historical stuff, museums, and the like, and it always included a zoo and/or aquarium and a major league baseball game. Those were fun trips.
Are you one of my children, too? That sounds like what we did with our children for many years. Your parents must be as good as if not better than our children's. :))

Holy Crap. There is a chance we sat very close to one another at a Yankee game. That's where MY dad always got box seats. Wow.

My list is pretty small:

Camden Yards - many O's losses
RFK - somebody else listed it for soccer. I went there for Redskins' games back in the day
Dodger Stadium - many games with my uncle
I assume old Busch Stadium, back in the early 90's when I was on college visits - Cardinals game
Candlestick Park - Giants game
Wrigley Field - Cubs game

If we include minor league, I've been to a few of those, including, of course, the old home of the Durham Bulls! I've also been to a lot of college games, especially at the now named Dedeaux Field at USC (named for my uncle who took me to Dodger games).

A few years ago I spent way too much time on the road...which reminds me I forgot Tiger Stadium...and would try to catch a game when I could. Majors or minors. I went to a ton of minor league games...my personal favorite...the Helena Brewers vs the Casper Ghosts (I am NOT making this up). I love minor league parks...goofy promos (bread night? They gave out loaves a bread at one game ...after the game so no waving of the loaves to encourage the home team) The players in the minors hustle their asses off every game, every play because. Nobody tries harder. No million dollar babies...just guys with a dream.

OMG! They have bread night at the San Jose Giants games! It is the goofiest promotion EVER, but I always made my boys get as many loaves they could take (cuteness counts) from the promo people on our way out of the stadium. Bread freezes well, in case you didn't know. Thank you, Sara Lee!!!!

If you are one the last stragglers out of the stadium you can get an armload of bread - and yup it freezes just fine!

I go to the Clearwater Threshers games with some guys I worked with - we sit behind home plate for about $5. (First thing you learn...minor league parks don't have usually have the backstop screens that go over your head so a high pop foul my end up in your lap or worse, your beer!)

I am always amused by the collection of nubile creatures that collect in the seats by the dugout. I don't think any of them know the difference between a fly ball and a fruit fly, but for the players it is a 'target rich' environment.

I think it should be against the rules to take your glove to the game after age 12. You gotta go barehanded.

Memorial in Baltimore - O's and Colts, several times in the '70's and 80's.
RFK - Redskins, Washington Diplomats Soccer (several times in the '70's and 80's).
Atlanta Fulton County Stadium (1st MLB game I ever saw - 1972, IIRC)
Dodger Stadium - twice in summer of 1988
U.S. Cellular Field - White Sox game 2008. We visited Wrigley and walked around the outside while we were in Chicago, but never went in.

I'll be adding Fenway to the list next week (July 11 vs. the Yankees).

I have wanted to go to Camden Yards and the Nationals new stadium, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

My list is weak, but here it goes

Camden Yards
Nationals Park
RFK
Citizens Bank Park

But I will add the new Yankee Stadium later this week, and as I'm going to Pitt PNC Park will be added in the near future.

I've attended enough minor league games to say that bringing your glove is appropriate at any age for the reasons stated above. Minor league parks don't have as many screens to keep the foul balls off of the spectators - it's a self-preservation issue. Yes, a pop fly can be caught barehanded but if I'm trying to deflect a screamin' line drive foul, I want my glove. (At Major League games, I'll go with the 12 year old rule.)

Holy crap, is it new? I was definitely in the old one. I was there watching Freddy Patek play back in my not so glorious Little League days.
They have added features to enhance the fan experience. The stadium itself is pretty much the same - I don't think there is a bad seat in the place. I actually had tickets that were in the last row, upper deck, behind home plate one game. As we were climbing to our seats, we realized someone was sitting in them. We stopped climbing and sat where we were.

I'm going to get out there to check out the "new" stadium this season.

FYI - the Royals play in Kauffman Stadium (The K) and the Chiefs play in Arrowhead - both contained in the Truman Sports Complex.

Have also seen games in the Astrodome and Three Rivers. A very short list.

Ozzie - I was in our family room in Atlanta when the Eagle landed.

Reminds me of Turner Field in some ways. I've sat literally in the very top row before, and it's not a bad spot at all. In fact, in the dead of summer, it can be a great place to sit, because there's a gap between the top of the bleachers and the roof (screened with a chain-link fence), through which a lovely breeze always blows.
On top of that, the upper deck rightfield seats (the cheapest in the joint, $5 a piece when they're not discounted) afford a great view of the southern portion of Atlanta's skyline, including the state capitol. That section is actually one of my favorite places in the stadium to sit.
And for the record, I wasn't a glimmer in anyone's eye when the Eagle landed.

I sat in the very top row in the corner next to the fence for Super Bowl V at the Orange Bowl in 1971, Dallas Cowboys vs. Baltimore Colts, won by the Colts' Jim O'Brien's FG at the end of the game. That's where the Dolphins rewarded new season ticket holders if you wanted Super Bowl tickets. The probably cost $10 or $15 dollars each.

That's very cool. I'm not ponying up for Super Bowl tickets at current prices unless and until the Falcons are in it (and even then, it's going to take a fortuitous convergence of circumstances for me to be able to go).
