We are done. A new record-101 kids, 3 dogs (they got dog biscuits). We are left with one mini Butterfinger, and 9 mini everlasting Gobstoppers.

We ended up with over 40.

We lost count, and we ran out of candy. Toward the end, they were coming in to the neighborhood by the carload. We finally had to cut off the lights and stop the insanity.

As usual, no kids came. We always get treats. Bud eats most of them.

I thought we were done at 101 until 7 more fairly small kids showed up. We are slam out of candy now.

Note to Trick or Treaters: If the lights are off and the front door is closed, it's a good bet that we're out of candy. So don't be so disappointed when you ring the doorbell (How did you ever find it with the lights turned off?) and I tell you that we are out of candy.

P.S. It's 9:30 p.m. You should be at home, getting ready for bed. You have school tomorrow. And where are your parents?

30 kids and 2 dogs so far. We were nattily attired in matching skull and crossbones T-shirts but with the chill I am now wearing a Duke sweatshirt with the Blue Devil in the front, and my devil horns (thanks, Sheree!)

I wore my Devil horns to the Halloween concert at church on Friday. I got to channel a Crypt Digger and sang backup on Monster Mash.

Halloween in Henry County is tonight (Monday), so most of the office has cleared out to dress their own hobgoblins or get ready for the onslaught. Hannah the bumblebee, three year old daughter of one of our secretaries, just showed up with her daddy. I had three packs of M&M's (a gift at church yesterday) in my jacket pocket, and somehow two of them ended up with her.
