Good question. And on the History Channel, 90 percent of programming is dedicated to Hitler, his bodyguards, his commanders, his troops, his family, his best friends, his pets, etc.

-EarlJam

My PhD supervisor calls it the Hitler Channel and pleads with undergrads each semester that if they get only one thing out of his class that it be that they should turn off the Hitler Channel and read an actual book.

I was thrilled when the History Channel was created but can barely stand it now.

Because it is owned by A&E.
Colchar, it used to be that when there would be previews for History Channel programs, there was always the line, "Not Available in Canada." Are either History Channel or History International available in Canada now? And wasn't History International supposed to cover, well, international history?

And now, at 1:00 EDT on History International, is "Battle 360 USS Enterprise: Call to Duty."

What is "History International?" Same as History Channel?

No, a separate channel in the A&E Family of networks.

There could not have been a History Channel without WWII. Despite the fact that there were millenia of history before WWII, the rest of history doesn't get much love.

Saying that, currently History Channel is broadcasting "Jurassic Fight Club." The first thing we do is, we don't talk about Jurassic Fight Club. Or make hieroglyphs about it.
Maybe because the History Channel needs film to show that is historical in nature. There is a lot of that film shot in wars - especially WWII.

Colchar is correct. (I think) Godwin's Law only applies in a discussion/argument. I only posted a smilie. ;) :D

At least the front yard looks nice :chores-mowlawn: , and I got my hair washed. Twice, as a matter of fact.

Sounds like my day. A 45 minute AM walk and a hair wash and a 30 minute lawn-mowing therapy session with another hair wash. The 2nd hair washing was accompanied my a generous amount of ocean breeze conditioner. Ahh...

Sounds very relaxing, DD. Here's hoping the rest of your evening will be as relaxing.
