Re: Bad Ass Music Performances...
One 80s/90s band has always captured my imagination. Tesla. Personally, I love them; but they never really got super popular. I love them because I think their music is strong and original. They also, like Guns & Roses, didn't leverage a glam image to promote their fame. But they never came even remotely close to G&R fame. Yes, they are/were a success but they fall into that category of bands that, to most, you don't simply know whether to hate or love. For me, with their many great songs, I always wonder why they did not get more attention or respect.

Thanks. Cool big band stuff at the end. Not quite enough time to get warmed up however and break into a foxtrot ;) .captmojo wrote:In light of a documentary released today, I'm posting this as my all time trump card.

The funniest thing is how everybody loves the guitar intro but Slash hates it. All that is is a string skipping exercise (a warm-up exercise) that the other guys heard him doing and asked him to record. He refused at first because it was only an exercise but look how famous it has become.

Agreed. To Slash, it is a string skippng warm-up exercise. It's easy for a shitty player like me to play too, but I don't tell anyone that. When I play it, people generally like it, and I tell them it comes from years and years of practice!colchar wrote:EarlJam wrote:This video, this song, is so good. If you disagree, then dang you! This is freakin' awesome, thanks! For all my love of aviation, I've never been to an air show. I HAVE seen the Blue Angels practicing from my office window years ago. It was incredible. Also, saw some vintage WWII aircraft flying overhead (B-17s, B-24s, P-51s). I must get to an actual airshow though.captmojo wrote:A little video for the patriotic holiday...

I'm not gay (not that there's anything wrong with it), but I just might have sex with a Blue Angels pilot. That's how "bad ass" they are. I'm kidding about the sex part, but they ARE bad-ass.
Thanks again for posting this!
