Yeah, just checked the Doppler. Lots of red and yellows over WS, and they aren't moving much.

WOW! No rain at all up here in NoVA! It rained here about a 1/2 hour yesterday and then sun came out and dryed out everything! Enjoy your dinner/supper!

They were okay, but the family used to have a poodle years ago. She used to sleep on my feet and keep them warm.

I want to take pictures at the Botanical Gardens this morning, but it's looking a bit cloudy. Hopefully the rain will hold off.

With toasty temperatures expected outside, our family is gathering later today for a cookout to honor my nephew and his fiancee. In addition to the adults, there will be three young children who enjoy "free range" activities! Hoping that no
scattered thunderstorms interfere.

It's HOT! Tomorrow, it's supposed to be HOT!
This is another reason I love living at the beach...it never gets as hot here as it does inland. So while I will be HOT tomorrow, y'all will be SUPERHOT!

Add high humidity along with that hot temperature. I hope this is not a preview of the weather we'll have come September and the first football game.

Our team will be in better shape than the other team, you can count on that. So bring on the heat and humidity!

I'm not concerned with our team's preparation for hot weather. I'm concerned with how the heat affects me. Coach Cutcliffe and I have already discussed a pre-season program to prepare the heat.

Wear a big hat and loose fitting clothes. Drink plenty of fluids (water) during the game. During the tailgate, the fluids don't have to be water ;)

My weather forecaster Sasha the mini Schnauzer is sitting next to me on the couch, shaking like a leaf. I hear thunder, and the sky is black to the west. Bad storm here last night. A house about 100 yards from mine as the crow flies in the neighborhood got hit by lightning. It's charred on the corner. Fortunately no one was seriously hurt. The man said the lightning strike felt like someone hit him in the feet with a sledgehammer; his wife and baby were fine.

Thunderstorms have been rolling through the area for the past couple of hours. There were strong gusts of wind and heavy rain at times. Maybe the Japanese beetles will be washed away.
Can't tell yet if the last wave has passed through or if this is just an interlude.
